Marion Davis stands besides trees that were cut and dumped on her lawn in 1990
Story and photo by John M Whitson, Union Leader July 13, 1990
Way back when our beautiful scenic highway was just a messy bumpy road (wait is it still?), the citizens of Webster, NH got together and pushed the state’s hand to actually fix Route 127 for all the high traffic it sees. I remember this article because Mrs. Davis would come into the Corser Hill Country Store after church and she always had on this beautiful little flower in a pin that she would pick fresh from her yard before church. She would chat for a minute and tell me the latest on her yard and her neighbor’s yards too that the state was creating.
