The owner of a home in Webster, NH that was destroyed in a fire last month has been arrested for allegedly setting the fire intentionally.

According to a press statement from New Hampshire State Fire Marshal J. William Degnan, Webster Police Chief Robert Dupuis, and Fire Chief Colin Colby, a fire was reported at the single family home at 682 White Plains Road on November 18 at 1:06 pm.

After an investigation of the fire, it has been determined that the fire was “incendiary” in nature, meaning it had been intentionally set, according to the press statement.

As a result of the investigation, homeowner Brandon Prive, 26, is being considered an accomplice to arson and has been charged with a felony count of conspiracy, and a felony count of liability for the conduct of another (accomplice to arson).

Prive is currently being held on $100,000 cash bail at the Merrimack County House of Corrections. He’ll be arraigned in Franklin District Court on Monday, Dec. 5, at 8:30 am.

According to the statement, more arrests and charges are possible in the case, which is still under investigation.

Way back when our beautiful scenic highway was just a messy bumpy road (wait is it still?), the citizens of Webster, NH got together and pushed the state’s hand to actually fix Route 127 for all the high traffic it sees. I remember this article because Mrs. Davis would come into the Corser Hill Country Store after church and she always had on this beautiful little flower in a pin that she would pick fresh from her yard before church. She would chat for a minute and tell me the latest on her yard and her neighbor’s yards too that the state was creating.
